Yes, I think this is about preference to each individual… My topic is on camera. It’s getting more and more people carrying the expensive gadget DSLR even shopping with kids. To them, they have high expectations to the outcome of the photos I guess because you know the gadget is quite bulky to bring along especially you have small kids tagging. Last time I’ll think only those job required will carry one like photographer and journalist but anyone seems afford to have one! For me, I’ll prefer the high spec compact digital cameras for the convenience to bring out either for an outing or going to travel. You know, there’s already a backpack full of the little guy’s stuff plus a stroller (although it’s a light weight one). I don’t want to “burden” myself to something huge!

It does seem like everyone is carrying a DSLR. Not sure if it’s because it’s a new ‘it’ item or just the satisfaction one feels when owning one. My brother has one and gosh, that thing is no lightweight camera. It is HEAVY! and BULKY! Like you, a lightweight slender camera is good for me.

DSLR…nice photos like professionals, become unnatural. Like looking at glossy magazines. Digital…may not be so nice, but that’s the attraction. Like handwritten letters VS computer-typed letters…

You’re right! I see more and more people carrying the DSLR cameras these days, I guess they’re pretty affordable now.
No doubt digital camera is light and easy to bring, but somehow the quality is not that good..
Well, like you said, individual preferences…

I will stick with my Canon point and shoot, I don’t think I would ever be able to figure out a DSLR!
