The little guy had his 4-in-1 (Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR) + Chickenpox) vaccination on his actual birthday. Since he is as strong as an ox, he never cry for injections from 4 months old. But he cries when he sees the Pead so I assume he recognizes the person who get him “a little uncomfortable”! The Pead remembered I told him before about XJ hardly sleep throughout the afternoon & sleep late at night + bouncy all day & night (sometimes fall asleep ard 12am or above if he had afternoon nap although a short one!) So Pead asked me is XJ still the same… & he commented his weight is slightly underweight (the rest are average) but no worry as super active baby tends to be lighter! His growth @12 months~Weight: 8.5kg Height: 73.5cm Head Circumference: 48cm. I have no idea why he has this much of energy… just like the Energiser Bunny.
~ XJ’s 1st teeth@11months 3rd week. This is the best I managed to capture ‘coz he kept pushing away my hands ~
Oh this mustn’t be left out, he is just like the cute Bugs Bunny now! He is real late in growing teeth ok. I guess he breaks the record as his first teeth came out@11 months 3rd week, just before his birthday celebration@CitiCafe. But the others are coming out real fast after that. I presume his gum must be quite uneasy/painful & I guess that’s the reason he easily get moody at first but he is alright like after a few days. If those super duper crankiness prolong, I may have a dozen of wrinkle cream standby in my closet!

Active good… My daughter hardly ate, yet so very active. The doctor said no problem, start worrying only when she wasn’t active. I guess the same applies to yours…
my boy can eat a lot but he is too active & bouncy so that’s why he gains weight rather slow. yes doc said parents shld be happy coz this is healthy

guess he wants to eat his birthday cake gua. Thus the teeth come out at the eleveth hour. hahaha
Better for the teeth to grow later. Not that much of cavity
hahaha most probably
yeah some ppl told me like that too

What a brave boy to not cry for his shots, and congrats on his new teeth =)

I heard that, seeing the baby’s 1st teeth and 1st walking step is the most exciting and memorable parts for parents.. hehe.
yeah that’s very excited & happy to see his “1st” achievement

Hi Dora! Must celebrate his 1st tooth, and everything ‘first’. No worry about XJ late teething - my girl is a late bloomer but my son already had 4 teeth by the time he was 11 months old
we were like “how long we gotta wait for his 1st teeth…” when not thinking of it then it suddenly came out one day
No more worry after Pead told me it’s very normal for some babies. Thx for stopping-by my place Yvonne

2 more months to go, he can take rice and soup already. More teeth more food varieties.
he has tasted a little bit of adult food & he always wants more
July 16th, 2010 at
Haha..he remembers the face of the person who makes him uncomfy. Good that he doesn’t cry when getting injections. Some kids bawl the daylights out when they see the nurse with the syringe.
yeah I guess he thought there’s mozzy bites when it’s injections

try creating a schedule for baby XJ… for example, naptime, must stop playing, put on soothing music and let him tune down a bit. i read that if a baby is too active throughout the day, he will actually feel more difficult to fall asleep at night. too energised already, and hard to tune down. but if overall he’s fine, then don’t worry la! :-D.
yes there’s timetable established earlier by himself but he becomes more & more bouncy thereafter… I always on some soft musics like jazz@night so everyone will be more relax but he seems more energetic when listening to the music

…i thought thats bugs bunny?
yeah he stole Bugs Bunny’s teeth & put into him
July 16th, 2010 at
wah….congrats…finally your boy teeth grew…careful of his bite yeah! will be painful liow.
thx… yes it’s quite painful, he bites me once
July 16th, 2010 at
haha…my baby girl’s 1st tooth eruptted after her b’day if I did not remember wrongly. And all her other teeth sprout very slow if compare to YX.
yeah some babies will have teeth erupted later than others but Pead said that’s ok

your son is such a brave soul. it’s a good thing he doesn’t cry for injections.
I guess he like challenges

How is XJ after his jab? Ally had her fever 5 days after kena jabbed! And it lasted for 2 days…
slightly higher temperature@36.7 -36.8 and yes it’s completely cleared after 2 days
July 17th, 2010 at
He is like Bugs Bunny now ya..hehe..boys are a bit active I guess. His teeth is growing already, can eat more nice food now.
yes he enjoys more on adults food now
July 17th, 2010 at
My baby is almost 11 months and he is weighing around 10kg, with 8 teeth and more to come!
good

Such a brave and strong kiddo!
Growing teeth will make him a bit cranky.
Having the front teeth sure will make him look like an adorable bugsy!
we always make fun of him a Bugs Bunny, both his teeth come out whenever he smiles

Taking my sons for their MMR jab was heartbreaking, glad to hear your little one was ok.My boys teeth came in around 7 months and funnily enough that’s when my wife stopped breast feeding OUCH.
that’s lucky or else that’ll be quite painful for your wife
July 18th, 2010 at
Glad to know XJ not scare of taking the jab. Easier job for the doc, nurse and the parents!
I suppose boy tends to be more active. My son also eats a lot (more than his sister) but hardly gain weight. But he is not underweight yet so I’m not too worry.
yes I’m proud of that ‘coz I’m scared to see some bigger kids cried their lung out! haha… the calories burnt faster so no fats stay in the body
July 18th, 2010 at
My son also super active and ppl always ask me why he is so thin. Good that his teeth come out late. Not so easy decay till his permanent teeth come out.
active ppl tend to be skinny but it doesn’t apply to me hahaha
yeah ppl told me the good in that too!
July 22nd, 2010 at
just like my niece, she wasn’t crying with the injection =)
oh my your boy is just 8+kg @12! my boy now is about 17-18lbs so roughly 8kg and about 67.5cm. ii guess i have a big boy =)
i am purely breastfeeding him and only this week I’m starting to give a tbsp of rice cereal mixed with my expressed milk. I am hoping that he wouldn’t teeth just yet so he won’t bite me =P
July 24th, 2010 at
U’ve got a macho lil guy there. Not scared of injections one.
yes he is a tough little guy
