… but I hardly accomplished all or most of them because it’s time constraining! I didn’t feel it last time but I always chasing the time now. My mom said that I start complaining even though I’m just taking care of one baby. After a whole Saturday spent at my parents’ place, she fully understand why… because XJ is too demanding or shall I say that baby today is more demanding than our time or before?…

Before I have XJ, what I enjoyed to do first in the morning during weekend is to watch Travel & Living after came back from jogging. I didn’t watch Globe Trekker for so long! And for those who know me, I’m a hardcore tennis (Rafa)’s fan but I missed plenty of the matches. All I know is that Rafa is doing quite badly throughout 2009. And quite a number of books still packed nicely in the original form when bought it from various bookstores. I can’t read a book with a cuppa now already… And there’re really a lot of pix I need to sort it out, my hubby snapped & recorded many of XJ funny gestures but never seem to settle it accordingly yet he said keep all those in the digicam ‘coz there’re too cute!

Imagine how to fit-in all these in the weekend minus 80% of time spent on XJ, minus laundry & other chores & minus shopping. With the 20% of limited time, I have difficulty in choosing what to do, blogging? reading? watching fav programmes? catch-up with some sleeps? And I have to quit jogging in the morning recently ‘coz XJ wakes up & cries for milk about the same time when I want to go out… So I guess it’s 90% contributed to XJ :-D Dear hubby, can I get diamonds as a reward for doing all these? hehehe…

What I really want to do now is to finish a few chapters of Jeffery Deaver’s (JD) The Broken Window. Actually I bought JD’s books during my 3rd trimester of pregnant because I spent more time at home and I guess reading has more bonding with baby in womb. And very interesting that I specially love “investigation, thriller & mysteries”-based stories that time although I still love it now… I read until a few days before I delivered XJ so there’re about 100pgs only to finish this book. I don’t know when I can start other books or should I buy new books when shopping?… OK, sorry I have to go & I apologize if I do not hop to your blog recently. Happy Sunday :-)

hahaha, what a coincidence, I am reading The Blue Nowhere. Because I am at the computer a lot, my 13 year old had finished the book before I am half way even though he started after me.

Once I read I’ll spend lotsa time on books coz once started difficult to stop… yeah my 9yo niece reads much faster than me too! :-) Hey, hope you enjoy your book there :-P

  2. ChloeMummy Says:

Tell me about it haha… my books are stacking up too plus this and that and never-ending house chores to be done. Sometimes, stay up until wee hours in the morning also cannot shorten my to-do list.

mommies today must be very strong & healthy! hehehe :-)

  3. Nessa Says:

I haven’t bought any books lately… I heard of a mega discount sale on books and mags at Amcorp Mall but I’m put off by parking and large crowds… sighhhhh…

I wish we had 48hours a day! This year for me went by so quickly, it’s scary!

Taking care of a baby comes first. Blogging second… hehe.

yeah there were one in Bkt Jalil earlier & Amcorp Mall recently but I didn’t go to both ‘coz I can foresee I may spend a long time there which is impossible for now. yeah 09 so fast come to an end, ok baby always in the 1st place but blogging may not be 2nd now ‘coz soooooo many things need to do at hand :-D

  4. uLi Says:

Baby today is much harder to take care I think :p My niece is 1 of them…

yeah babies today are more demanding & they’re much smarter. Now you see your niece & you may feel it when you have your own baby! :-)

  5. lina Says:

I need to take up a book to read too. Haven’t been getting around reading a new book in ages.

Hope you had a great weekend! :)

once you get to reading, you may have the tendency to set aside blogging & others… :-)

  6. wenn Says:

    wow..reading book..interesting..

    yeah that’s interesting!

  7. kathy Says:

May you have a quiet week ahead for you to finish the book :)

I hope I manage to finish the book quickly b4 I forget about the story ‘coz it’s been lying half way for such a looooong time :-)

  8. Mummy Gwen Says:

That’s the reality of being a mother..hehe..no more “ME” time for several years..haha…for my case lah coz I have no helper. But now that Gwen is older, I’m able to squeeze in some time for myself. :D

yeah I fully understand now why my sis in-law always complain no time for this & that when my nieces & nephews were babies… yeah I believe when XJ grows older only then I have some “Me” time :-)

  9. liferamblings Says:

I wish i have more time to accomplish things too, i’m always racing against time to get things done. how downright pathetic. :(

on the other side which mean we trained to handle things efficiently! hahaha :-P

LOL!!! Being a parent requires a lot of sacrifice! Especially as a modern-day parent who pamper the kids, give them all the attention they need…but one day, you’ll look back at it all and sigh with satisfaction! It is all worthwhile and you’ll think that this is the best time of your life! Kids brought up with love and care will be loving and caring…

yeah we sacrifice plenty of time on him but I guess that’s worth it afterall like what u said :-P

  11. levian Says:

you love reading too! i just finished my Stackhouse series book 8, waiting for the book 9 to come out with a paperback. hopefully you can have some “me” time soon. it is refreshing to charge up a little every now n then i believe. =)

yeah I love reading a lot but I’m reading less & less now… I believe a good nap is the best way to refresh myself now! hehehe :-)

  12. BoeyJoey Says:

I know what you mean! I too have so many things that I wanted to do, but just could not get started… argh!!! I read that some people are able to survive with 4 hours sleep a night… tried out 2 nights, and I’m knackered… Guess I’m not that some people then… :-(

You take things easy, okay? :-)

yeah I had no choice just to sleep a few hrs everyday during the 1st 2 months when XJ is born, I felt I was totally KO! It’s better now, I’m get used to XJ’s routine at least :-)

  13. S.Wei Says:

Ha ha… I think you are speaking on behalf of most of mummy here. You will used to the “rush hour” and soon be able to squeeze out some time for yourself.

now it’s better & my only 1 hr of “me” time of jogging also goes to baby… ;-)

  14. Cheeyee Says:

Hehe yeah things changed after having a bb at home. It’s not easy to get a balance between family, work, and personal time. For me I need some personal time else I think I will go crazy with life just work and kids. So i tend to sleep late as time after kids are sleeping is the only time I can do other things.

yeah I normally stay ’til early morning on every Friday so that I can enjoy either books+music or blogging or tv, hehehe :-)

  15. ladyviral Says:

Some baby are harder to look after. Some are really easy… I guess it all depends on the child :P.

yeah totally agree ‘coz I have a niece & a nephew who are very easy to take care but other nieces & another nephew are totally opposite! ;-)

  16. Rose Says:

Welcome to Motherhood! hehehe! It is like that, you will get used to it and you just feel like you dont have time for yourself. Wait till he is 1 or 2 years old, then you can breathe and get some life back. :p

yeah hardly find some time for myself now, gotta wait XJ grows older :-)

  17. donna Says:

too many things i need to do as well.. T.T

so gotta planned properly, don’t waste time!

  18. Sue Says:

Baby XJ takes up a lot of time, but I’m sure he is well worth it.

    Have a great day :)

I guess it’s worth it too :-) U have a great day too ok :-)

  19. Choc Mint Girl Says:

Oh, I will surely remember this post when I have a baby to take care he he… Take care, Dora!

yeah u gotta get prepared first (mentally) now huh! :-) U take care too Crystal :-)

  20. ayie Says:

There are also so many things i want to do but time restricts me to accomplish all, i guess i can’t be superwoman all the time most especially I have to care more for my growing baby in me.

yeah all u need to do now is rest as much as possible to reserve the energy for your D-Day & days after… :-)

  21. Cheryl Says:

I know what it is like to have a baby in the house…no more “me” time. But once a routine is established and as baby gets older things do get easier, more “Mom time”! Now that my three children are grown I sure do miss all those busy days though and would do them all over again!

I get used to XJ’s timetable now at least, I just can’t find time to do the things I enjoy like b4… gotta wait ’til XJ grows older but I’m sure I gonna miss this moment next time like what u said :-)

  22. fenfen Says:

hahah..i can totally relate to wat u are saying here…i haven’t read a book or even a magazine in ages! i can’t wait for baby dylan to grow up and play independently on his own :) i m sure u feel the same too

yeah that’s pity if leaving him alone there unattended & that’s not a good parent to do it… play with him is fun alth tiring :-)

  23. Olive Says:

I can totally relate to you…I hardly have ime to do the things I like! It’s a wonder I can still post a blog these days…Hands all tied up with 2 kids. I forced myself to develop pics of baby…finally developed them today…sorting was really tedious. Enjoy finishing up the novel. It’s good that you still make time to read and relax :)

when finished the things it’s already too tired, me too sometimes force myself to do some little but tedious things… yeah I need to find some little time for myself or else the life like tasteless ;-)

  24. rosebelle Says:

After kids, our lives revolve around them. They take priority to everything. I have three kids so imagine the time limited time I have on hand. But they grow up so fast so enjoy and take it easy :)

yeah alth it’s tiring & take most of my spare time, I enjoy it a lot seeing him grow day-by-day & develop a lot too… :-P

  25. kikey loo Says:

the first 3 yrs is the hardest year for a mom…

    p/s: I am watching ??? and ???

Yeah need to sacrifice a lot but I’m sure it’s worth it :-)

Oh I was asking which HK TVB drama series u r watching now?

  26. lil prince's mum Says:

Hmm… me too… but time very limited huh?

yeah sometimes don’t what to do 1st…

  27. anggie Says:

i think most of the mom is in the same shoes as u …. :P
As for me, some time up to a stage, i m stress, tired , want some me time … i will take a leave off, just for myself … :) this is a good way to boost myself too …

yeah agree that sometimes we need some private time to relax, I push aside XJ & hubby at home to dive into the swimming pool or jogging to recharge, that’s better for both body & soul :-)
