It was just like yesterday & all those moments still very fresh playing in my mind from 08th July 2009 which my labor started ’til this little handsome guy safely delivered on early morning of 09th July 2009. It’s the sweetest date to remember

1 Month Old ~ he is a crying machine ok, how glad I see him sleep like this
2 Months Old ~ less crying, more smiling, hahaha…
3 Months Old ~ this little robot is getting more energetic.

4 Months Old ~ flip his body & learn a bit of crawling.
5 Months Old ~ enjoy bouncing like exercising his legs.
6 Months Old ~ first time on baby solid & going very well.
7 Months Old ~ don’t like to sit long in the stroller, want to carry!!!

This was a brunch treat by my 2nd bro for his 2 sweetiepies’ birthday. It’s an earlier celebration too on last Sunday afternoon@Shabu Garden, Kuchai Entrepreneurs’ Park. You know the day before was XJ’s birthday party & he wanted to play those new toys (his presents) ’til midnight + we were out the entire day on Sunday & watched Wimbledon Men’s Single Final (happy to see my fav guy won, vamos Rafa
at night so that’s what I said it was super busy! OK straight to the food without further delay…

Same people attended XJ’s party went there. The restaurant turned into a chilled room ‘coz the heavy rain has just stopped. Still cool even the staff adjusted the air-con to a warmer temperature but I love it since we were having shabu so that’s perfect! I roughly went through the menu & I let my bro decided for what to eat ‘coz my principle is I’ll go for whatever on the table when someone’s paying the bill
& some more I saw everything in the menu are nice… For me, the lamb sliced is the best among others. I had yee mee, prawns, abalone mushrooms, veggies, fish cakes & a lot a lot more… I love the individual burner & pot ‘coz it’s more convenience. We all chose normal soup (shld be a name for it) for base while hubby wanted tomyam. I like their handmade fish balls, fish cakes & others ‘coz it’s fresh. I love this restaurant too for its cleanliness, quiet + simple decor. We’ll normally look for such kind of place for family get-together occasion & will definitely come back for more rounds!

Catching up with each other then proceeded to cut cake session. As previous years, there were 2 cakes of the girls’ choice. Actually XJ shares the same birthdate with my eldest niece Y. Ok Y’s Kings’ Pandan Layer cake & Q’s Starbucks’ Chocolate Cake. They both tasty but we just had a small piece for each. The birthday presents were given to the girls together with XJ. Although the girls are almost stepping into their teenager-hood, they are still very “daddy & mommy’s girls” most of the time esp the younger one Q! hahaha
Thank you bro for inviting us to this lovely party.
… … … zzz … zzz … ZZZ… ZZZ…

~ The “aftermath” of too much socializing events but it’s good for mama & papa ‘coz we enjoyed the food peacefully finally :-) ~

Oh so fast come to the last day of 2009 which is today! It’s time to say Goodbye to 2009 & welcome the brand new 2010
As a sum up, my greatest moment this year is none other than having my little monster XJ as my forever lovable play toy, hahaha… opps, playmate!
Besides, I’m satisfied with some little achievements@work too.

~ Sherlock Holmes as New Year gift to myself ~
So have you planned your celebration on the New Year Eve? Well, I guess I won’t go to any of the shopping malls to avoid the crowd. All I want is some quiet & peaceful moment. Hubby promised that he will take care XJ & let me enjoy my book. Yeah I bought Sherlock Holmes@Borders after work, more precisely after a cuppa with my ex-coll. “Sorry Ben, I was in a hurry ‘coz I was worry it’s late to fetch XJ but it’s great for an hour updating each other + thx for the iced mocha” Ok, I flipped & read a bit of Sherlock Holmes. It’s interesting, not the usual crime/thriller/investigation stories I read which are straightforward. It’s based on the late 19 century so the English is little err… “oldies” but I guess I love it & will explore it… And will watch the movie too.
Alright complete whatever you think it’s need to be done, let the unpleasant experience be the past memory or forget about it if possible. Let’s search for something nice in the New Year of 2010!

p/s: not really a new year resolution but I hope XJ grows up as a healthy & cheerful boy!

~ Our Christmas 2009 ~
How was your Christmas celebration or how was your holiday?… Mine was actually a great family gathering and I believe everyone of us had some good time catching up with each other whilst the kids were the happiest during the presents exchange time :-) XJ was good baby ‘coz he took a longer nap than usual in the afternoon so that he was energetic during the party! We had dinner at a nearby restaurant which is our frequent family dinner place so that everyone is comfortable & satisfied with the dishes and the restaurant was quite empty that night. We were the ” big customer” with 16 of us consisted of adults + kids + a baby
Tell you, I love the family moment very much. When my 3rd bro & family came back (from Penang) to parents’ place it always make me feel like CNY but it’s coming soon anyway… When adults chatting with each other, the kids just couldn’t wait to exchange Xmas pressies… so we just put forward this highlight of the day before we had our Xmas Log Cake. Oh the kids were innocently delightful, I just love seeing them! XJ also seems excited over the gift exchanged ‘coz his eyes kept staring at the gifts he received & shouted with happy smile
There’s definitely no time thinking about any insurance quote
My mom prepared “Tong Yuan” that night since everyone at home. That’s special like East meets West, having the Chinese tradition dessert (Winter Solstice) on Xmas Day! I didn’t capture many pix ‘coz too occupied with catching up & playing with my nieces + nephews. My eldest niece is grown up@9yo & she likes to being with us adults rather playing with small kids or she’ll read her books at a corner. I want to thank her ‘coz it was her suggested to me the gift to XJ ~ Playskool Magic Screen Palm Learner. He loves it so much most probably ‘coz of the sound & the image on the screen. Myself & hubby doesn’t have a Palm but XJ does!!! Everyone cheers with Red Wine before heading home. It was a warm get-together party

(Holiday ~ Awal Muharam on last Friday) It was the last minute changed to KLCC having looked at the jam packed traffic on the road heading to PJ. To our surprise, the traffic to city centre was smooth that day but it was a crazy jam few days before… Anyway it just took us about 20-min to reach KLCC but it was a real big crowd as expected. I don’t quite like KLCC & u can see I seldom blog about our outing there ‘coz there’s always packed with people & it’s not spacious like 1U. We quickly get our stomach filled@Nando’s since the restaurants on top floor were full house except the Jap restaurants but I don’t eat Jap food. No pix on food ‘coz too hungry…

Since the “human jam” was too serious, we decided just to eat, drink & stroll at the park. But I was very disappointed that the heavy rain seems never stop & we couldn’t had a walk in the park. Passed-by a healthcare outlet & the girl gave us a leaflet about arthritis then we got inside Isetan. The parents were searching those 50% off Poney, Kiko, Mickey & Soda Kids apparels “fast & furious”. I didn’t join them & I got those great bargains earlier@Gardens without such annoyance crowd & the rude one u can imagine when sales is on… But hey I met my Love there… it’s not exactly the one I love, mine is the bear but it’s the rabbit. Ok that’s the rabbit of Sylvanian families. I couldn’t snap it nicely as it walk-passed so quickly… Some small kids were scared ‘coz it was a giant rabbit! They’re so cute but they’re too expensive as collection so I always visit them whenever I go shopping. But I think I’ll get one small set for myself one day. I’ll tell u guys when I’m done with it, hehehe

Had our tea time@Dunkin’ Donuts with a nice set of Chicken Ham Sandwich + Choc Donut + Iced Coffee. XJ also had his milk time. Found that no more Tower Records & Times also disappeared but ToysRus is there. So I bought XJ a Xmas gift then we headed back home. Shopping@KLCC was not a satisfied one ‘coz everything done in a rush… !

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM US & WISHING U A JOYOUS HOLIDAY!

Dec 12
Actually I love more outdoor activities but since XJ is still small & he doesn’t know how to walk yet, I guess we still going to shop more often during the weekends at the moment. Anyway, it’s quite enjoyable to shop at the corner of Christmas ‘coz there are colorful decors everywhere! Although it can’t compare to the atmosphere in overseas, at least we can smell & feel the festive…

I guess I love the decors at Gardens very much this year ‘coz it’s simple & elegant (this is what I prefer or rather “my style” if I dressed up). I don’t like the complicated decors like they simply put on anything they think it’s cute which produces some negative outcome! On the other hand, I love shopping@Isetan, Gardens as there won’t be a crowd & long queue at the cashier. I bought XJ Baby Poney shirt & Baby Kiko pants. There have some small X’mas tree in Isetan so I took some pix with XJ. And I like their Nursery Room too ‘coz the facilities are good & very clean.

The decors@1U this year is rather dull if compare to previous years but I find this corner is quite nice & XJ loved it so much. He was curious & over-excited I think (from his facial expressions & gestures). He kept staring at the silver ornaments and then looked at papa as if he got something to tell. You can see it at the 1st & 2nd pix above. When the choir singing was started with the loud pro sound, I was a bit worried that XJ would cry but he didn’t. He seems so enjoyed and he even looked around at the people who were taking pix. The two pretty ladies waved at him & said he is cute baby… I was proud u know

Dear Darling XJ,
We’re proud to see you learning & catching up things
Love,
Mama & Papa

I love seeing XJ holding his toes, he starts doing that since he can flip his body. He is getting very much naughty. His voice becomes more mature to a bigger boy. My neighbour told me the other day that he can listen to his shouting at night & his crying sounds very loud! My boy can really shout, we get shock when he suddenly do it at a quiet living hall@my parents place & sometimes I’m worry whether or not it hurts his throat?
My little monster doesn’t like to play the toys which are suitable for his age. That’s a bit headache… I collected the musical play gym from my credit card redemption at my parents, I thought he will love it. To my disappointment, he shows a little curious for the first time and he seems doesn’t like playing after that! I guess the main reason is because the soft toys hanging there can’t be taken out, he can’t hold it & throw it… yeah he loves throwing whatever we give him & smile at us after throwing on the floor
So do you call it NAUGHTY?
Two obvious developments are ~ he is able to recognise places. Since we are seldom going back to my PILs place so that his eyes rolling + looking here & there + starts crying… And XJ loves to stare at whoever is talking. I guess kid learns words from there as I had observed my eldest niece was like that too when she was small girl. When I talk to hubby, he stares at me then his head turns to hubby when hubby talks to me. Same thing at my parents place. That’s so cute of him! Oh yeah he can roll two times consecutively as well. His grow chart@5 months 2 days is 7kg (weight), 64.5cm (height), 43.7cm(head circumference). Not much growth from last month but Pead said it’s very common for babies about 6 months old will go slow down in growth.

Dec 03
So fast come to the final month of the year now but December is my fav month mainly ‘coz we got lotsa rain so that the weather is a bit chilly at night feeling a bit like the coming of winter?… And the holiday mood is around
We went out with XJ last weekend & thinking to snap some Christmas decors at the malls but very disappointingly there were not fully ready. I wondered why it’s quite late this time, I remember the X’mas decors were all in during early of Nov previous years when I celebrated our wedding anniversary. Was it also due to the poor economy?…

We are more comfortable with Ikano+The Curve & 1U so we spent our weekend there last week. Normally we have our lunch@Kluang Station ’til a very friendly waitress & one of the cashier guys there recognize the familiar faces of the 3 of us, hahaha
We used to like Vivo but the service getting deteriorate & the hygienic respect. I thought that was very exciting when looking at the banner ” … A Bubble X’mas…” (something like that) at Ikano but just some not attractive fish tanks with some tiny fishes there… When we want to buy things, 1U is preferred. The year end sales started, guess it’s good time to buy the necessaries ‘coz some got really great bargains. First thing I love to shop for XJ’s CNY apparels. Pumpkin Patch & OshKosh B’gosh got 50% discount sale! We kinda like the meals@Penang Flavour, 1U. We had an early dinner there on Sunday. So we had some snacks at I Love Yoo. I think people tend to love the “back to basic” food now. The one at Ikano has more variety but I’m not sure Gardens & Pavilion.

Guess it’s time to prepare X’mas pressies not only to my little friends (nieces & nephews) but to XJ this time! We are not celebrating X’mas but the kids get used to exchange gifts so why not just continue? Someone has been nagging for ps3 since last year but I don’t fancy that kind of gadget!

Nov 23
Oh I’ve highlighted today’s date in my diary. I guess it’s more exciting than our recent 3rd wedding anniversary. So what’s that huh?… Ok, my baby XJ can turn his body all by himself today@4 months 2 weeks old! Both hubby and I witnessed that moment together when we played with him on the bed. I’m happy & quickly run to grab my digicam to snap it I expect him to turn his body someday in December but never thought as early as today because I saw him trying to do it with all his energy past 2 weeks and I guess he is still not strong enough. I was wrong, the little monster is such a strong guy! hehehe
You see, he can lift up his head steadily as well. And he keeps turning whenever there’s opportunity especially when changing diaper!

It got us difficult to think where to eat at first as we have shortlisted Marche & The Apartment but we decided to try the food@The Apartment, The Curve finally. The reason being I’m kinda fascinated by their very “homely” concept & I think it’ll be comfortable for family dining apart from the comment from my 2nd elder bro on the food@Marche. He said they are just so-so. The weather on Saturday night was rather chilly, it was just perfect! Shopped a while then hopped in The Apartment at 8pm. Straight ordered what we wanted to eat ‘coz I have browsed their menu at their webpage earlier.

While we waiting for the food, we snapped some pix. I couldn’t see those nice sofas but I guess they are at the back section. Then a woman sitting next to us (she came with her hubby & lovely kids + a maid) offered her help in taking family pix of us. So sweet of her!
The ambiance there is more suitable for couples in my opinion. I fed XJ before we started to eat so that he behaved well & co-operated. OK, talking about their food… err… a bit disappointed! Perhaps I was going there with some high expectation?… Butterflied Lemon Chicken(mine), Chicken & Mushroom Pasta (hubby) , Shepherd’s Pie (something extra to try). We didn’t want alcohol & caffeinated drinks so we had lemonade & watermelon juice.
I don’t know what is actually the smell in the chicken, I couldn’t taste the fragrance of lemon but that particular smell causing some discomfort feeling in me. Hubby was not satisfied with the pasta too so we exchanged our food. It was funny that I like the pasta although a bit spicy while hubby like the chicken. We both think the Shepherd’s Pie tastes best among what we have ordered. Love the strong & thick smell of cheesey
It was still raining when we headed home at 10-ish. Was thinking to have a cuppa in Mon’t Kiara but XJ seems too tired so we just ignored that & XJ fell in sleeps when we got in the car!
I’ll rate it 5/10. I still think TGIF is the best ~ 1st Anniversary,Tony Romas is fine ~ 2nd Anniversary and Victoria Station is very good too! Seems this time we have made a wrong decision. Maybe will try out DELIcious@Marc Residence in December… any restaurants offering good food but must be baby-friendly, any suggestions?…
