You will regret sitting close to this little guy if you’re having something very precious to you in your hands! He has the ever-innocent looking on his face so this wins people’s heart to touch him. But they never know all his monkey-cum-stunt acts at home with only his parents If I want to get the house chores sorted out, I’ll put him into his cot and let him watch some educational DVDs or cartoons plus many toys and other non-toy grab-able stuff (no sharp edges & no small parts) so that he won’t feel bored. But everything just gotta be speed up because the little monster doesn’t want to be alone (during the time papa was out in the weekend) or he will yell ’til the uncle next door telling me “your son could be a saprano next time!”

See his naughty hand and leg there! Maybe he wanted to share his excitement too in my Sherlock Holmes?…

This little monster would be very selfish most of the time, he shouts to interrupt when me & hubby is talking. When he get attended, he smiles… From very early about 4 or 5 months old, he cried for someone although I was going to the kitchen to wash his feeding bottle. Never think and no chance to dump him alone! And even reading my book I have to sit near him. But he will extend his leg or hand to touch or even squeeze it! The room is almost ready for him (it serves as store room temporarily before his arrival) and we’re planning for a number of preschool furniture so all his books, toys and others can nicely stored. But I wondered he can sit still for a book next time…

First I want to congratulate my 3rd elder bro & sis in-law again for the arrival of their newborn baby boy yesterday. This is their 3rd kid We sms-ed each other for updating & he sent me a pic which I’ll say he must be much naughtier than but as handsome as XJ! hahaha… I can’t put up the pic here ‘coz my bro wishes not to… By this, I’m 6th time Aunt

On the other account, I want to touch a little on my definition of ENJOY. Despite what I always hope for a satisfied afternoon nap in the weekend (an uninterrupted ~ without hubby wakes me up with “XJ poo-ed already, please wash for him; XJ is crying, I think he is starving for milk or something” … etc) and I could say this is barely possible at least at this point of time, I ENJOY very much into reading a good book with a cup of hot coffee (must be hot coffee when reading) plus some soft music ~ ahh…, that’s absolutely lovely! I can’t say this is impossible entirely but I just cannot spend a stretch-long hours on my favorite books because of my duty/responsibility on XJ too…

At the top of my favorite is still the auto/biography category followed by sci-fi/thriller/crime/mystery. Last time Stephen King’s books are labelled sci-fi but I’m not sure why it’s thriller/mystery & sometimes I can find it in the “horror” shelves?! I read quite a lot on Stephen King’s works but I was so interested in thriller/crime/mystery suddenly when I was pregnant with XJ. I started with a few of Jeffery Deaver and Jeffrey Archer then (Dan Brown recently), my mind kept thinking ” how can this happened?…  who is the murderer?… as if I’m an investigator myself hahaha… I’m not sure XJ “inherits” my forever curious mind naturally or because I read a lot of those books that time…

 My little catch of the day…

I top-up only 2 more books with the same category but different authors. Michael Jackson book is hubby’s while those kids books are for XJ & my nieces. These are all from BookXcess during their recent 3rd Anniversary sales. I’m sure there’ll be more for myself if I can stay longer there, XJ kept shouting among the crowd so I was choosing just that little in rush!

Since the little guy is at the “super-curious” stage so you can imagine bringing him out for shopping is entirely not an easy task. We have to get our things done straight and quick. Because of this, I have switched to purchase online for some of the stuff. I’m so glad that a good blogger buddy of mine told me about eoe online photo printing. You know, I have countless of photos stored in both my netbook and external hard drive. Well, I’ll prefer hard copies especially for those with fond memories in it.

After going through on how to print, it’s as easy as 1-2-3 and there’s actually only 3 main steps you need to follow. First, choose your upload option which I found they have very user-friendly options. You won’t be shivering for the complicated steps.  Second, upload the photos and choose the size you wish to print. In the event where the uploading process is interrupted by any problems, the auto resume function will keep you at ease. Finally, make payment either by credit card, pay online or bank-in money. I guess their price is unbeatable for only RM 0.30 for each 4R print and RM 0.50 for each 5R print without additional charges and no minimum quantity required! You may enjoy the free delivery too if your order is totaling RM35.00 and above.

Isn’t that sound like we get all the benefits? I think yes because we save money, time and fuel too! For these reasons, I have already made my order at eoe and I’ll see how’s the quality of the photos plus how prompt is their service to determine my order with them in future.

Ok I know I never tell people I’m a Muffin Monster actually! I remember my first muffin was the one from Kenny Rogers Roasters & I fell for it thereafter, it was a Love at First Bite I name it! I was so excited for a wide variety of Muffins@Puffin Muffin then. I’ll normally had one ( you know how big a muffin from Puffin Muffin rite?) with a cup of coffee. That’s fantastic! But very disappointedly I guess the outlet is no longer exist. So if anyone know if there’s one still running the biz, please let me know & Thanks

What I normally have is either too dry or too sweet including the one@Coffee Bean… I got back the taste & the feel when I discovered the muffins@Bread Talk are simply right for my liking ~ moisture, strong fragrance yet not too sweet ~  Carrot Muffin is my favorite because it’s 80% similar to San Francisco’s Carrot Cake! What is even more satisfying ~ I bought it during the Happy Hour which means it’s cheaper. So I can enjoy a Carrot Cake at the price of a Carrot Muffin?… Anyway, I’m not sure the Happy Hour thing is permanent or it’s just during the promotion.

This is actually a back-dated post about 3 weeks ago. My parents joined my bros to Beijing on vacation during school hol. I was really wanted to join them too but not this time ‘coz I’m sure we won’t get fun with little fella at this age but yes for next year. Ok highlight is not about travel. The 1st thing I’m a bit worry is about XJ’s food. So this is the 1st time I fully take charge of his food during weekend coz normally I’ll bring XJ to parents’ place in the weekend & mom will prepare food for him.

~ Broccoli, Cauliflower, Pumpkin, Carrot, Corn, Tomato +Chicken/Fish+Rice ~

My mom brief me on the food preparation & I think it’s not difficult though. So I’m motivated to prepare food to my family… It’s quite enjoyed too to get those raw veggies, meats, bean etc washed & cut into small pieces. Then steamed it in rice cooker for abt 25-min. (can get it done in slow cooker but I prefer this old method) And finally get it blended. Yeah my little monster still eat rice+veggies+meats puree instead of porridge.

I was so glad to see this! This means what I’ve prepared is the same that my mom done or else he won’t have such appetite… So a dummie like me can do, there’s no excuse for u guys say cannot

~ Sit still for 2 minutes at most ~

I started to train him quite late about XJ nine months old. I’ve expected that it’s not an easy project. I still remembered he hardly sit still for the first time I put him on the potty. He always trying to climb down or stand up. When his facial expression told me he wanted to poo, I took off his diaper at the fastest speed & put him on the potty. I’ve to let him carry a small toy or teether for him to concentrate sitting there. To my disappointment, he was like to hold his poo ‘coz he cried & he poo-ed in his diaper when I put it on for him again. I was rather fed up sometimes but I don’t wish this little monster depends so much on the diapers … I didn’t force him either but train him from time to time.

~ Always push potty to the door-side & he even throw his shoe inside! ~

Perhaps he is so frustrated towards the potty. He thought that MONSTER doesn’t allow him to poo so he always bang it ’til it overturned!

After 2 months time, I’m the  PROUDEST MOM I think as he co-operates & understands potty is the place for him to poo. I’m successful finally!!!! He sits there & finishes his Biz completely without any fuss. I don’t need to give him things to carry anymore… The effort paid off & for those who are training your little ones on potty, please don’t give up ok?! (I’m thinking to show the potty with SHIT but I think that’ll be very disgusting! hahaha)

It’s double special date today ~ Mother’s Day & my little monster is 10 months old! It’s the first Mother’s Day I celebrated for me as a mom so it’s gonna be a little happier. No grand celebration but just a simple + warm one which was enough to cheer my heart. We had an earlier celebration yesterday with just 3 of us. We dined at a nearby restaurant but the food were just so-so. I guess the more important thing is to enjoy the moment being with the loved ones.

Well, my mom & father followed my 3rd bro & family to Genting Highlands for George Lam’s concert. She called me & said that’s good & the stay@Maxim was fantastic. That was her Mother’s Day present. Mine… err… nope! I need to sort out pile of chores… It’s so funny, the little fella got a gift on Mother’s Day but not me?… He got Mickey Mouse from hubby. He is Mickey Mouse maniac now! Tell ya, he will shout out loud when he sees Mickey balloons, t-shirts, bottles etc.

I’m happy to see XJ is growing well. Some people comment that he looks “small built” for a 10 months old baby but the Pead said he is growing very well at the average rank. Growing healthily is more important. He eats well on porridge & always finish the 8 Oz milk so there’s no prob on that but it’s just he doesn’t seem like to nap + explore & moving a lot… He understands when I say “no, u can’t do that…” Last time he will continue but he stops. I used ruler to beat his hand when he plays fan & I told him not to play ‘coz it dangerous… After some times, I’m glad that he understand it He is learning to walk a little & he can walk from one end to the other in the baby cot.

Ok XJ I know I’m a little serious to u sometimes so u are clever to go to papa most of the time. I hope it doesn’t mean u love papa more than mama. If yes, I’m hurt. I’m serious ‘coz I want to correct u when I notice what’s not right to do, alright? Papa is too soft & lenient on this so he will just let u do whatever which I think it’ll only make u become a little moron next time.

Oh yeah I have presents, a Pink Carnation & a BIG KISS with lotsa saliva!… No dirty mind please, it’s a sweet one from my little monster! I love ya

Happy 10 Months Old to XJ!

I was totally unaware that the Australian Open is already started! Why I’m so blur this time… Haven’t check the draw yet but people told me Rafa will gonna be easier this time, I hope it’s really easier for him to sail through. I read that FedEx was not playing so well the other day. Anyway, it’s always like that, the top 3 can’t play well in the beginning but will show their true colors in the later stage!

Yeah things settled to the normal routine after the long year end break last week. Everyone seems celebrated in jovial at the highest level having checked it from one blog to another. It’s good to get oneself relax after busy at work, school exams, house chores, etc the entire year. So when touch to the reality after much fun was rather difficult as I called it the “post-holiday syndrome”. Not just me alone, my colls claimed they just couldn’t get up from bed after many late night sleeps (or early morning sleeps???) whilst I secretly discovered my eldest niece written one of her X’mas wishes is “there’ll be no school forever”.

Myself?… get back to workplace but save money in Jan for the preparation of CNY in Feb! So near already… This is what hubby & myself had last Sat for late breakfast, my all time fav~ Dry Wantan Mee with Curry (mine is medium but hubby had big one) + the very yummy Honey Roasted Chicken Drumstick (we shared this ‘coz it’s a quite a big one!). So it costs about RM18.00 which is much cheaper than eating at the shopping mall… Good food not necessarily expensive one!

My little monster?… I guess he overplayed during the long break with us & his cousins. He is always shouting as he requests to play or continue to play. I’ll show u guys what he enjoys the most recently in the next post…

This is 3rd day on 2010 but this is my first post of this year, it seems like everything starts afresh! Actually I was off from 30th Dec so it’s one stretch holiday & as usual, getting lazy as the “post-holiday syndrome”! Anyway, I guess I enjoyed a lot although I couldn’t really complete what I’ve listed for this hols. A total relaxation on first & 2nd off-day were marvelous! I did nothing but reading + listening to the music! (this is what I’m looking for…)

Just spent a little while@1U on New Year Day. It was quite a big crowd but strangely the traffic was smooth along the way?… Had something filled in stomach@Lammeeya. Mine is Original Lam Mee ~ the broth is tasty & the serving is not enough (for me) if I’m in real hungry. Hubby’s taken Dry Curry Noodle which was disappointed-ly too spicy. Both Royal Milktea+ Iced Lemon Tea are good. Not very impressive with their service…

I had bought enough shirts + pants to XJ for CNY I think. Being the 1st time mom, I’m very excited in buying nice clothes for baby, hahaha… I’m fall in love with Pumpkin Patch. It’s just worth it when it’s on sale so I grabbed a few pieces for XJ. First think of XJ everytime go for shopping & totally forget about myself. So quickly go get some pieces too yesterday@MV before the sale ends. Quite satisfied for what I got for myself but definitely not enough. Hubby will always hunt for his clothes at the very last minute as previous years but I think men are pretty easy to get it done.

Had dinner with parents + 2nd bro & family then went to his house to have a “mini, kid-style party” as invited by my youngest niece. It’s just her excuse for wanting to eat McD nuggets, hahaha :-D  XJ was too delighted & only fell to sleep@11.30pm which was very late for a mere (about 6 months old) baby! Ok I gotta go for some chores before it piles-up!
